Once again no jail for the rich. It is amazing how justice can be bought in this country (actually in the world) Oh I long for the judge who sets things straight. May he have mercy on me too.
I think that those who are Christian and advocate social justice should be outraged. Here is once again an example of the rich getting off. Would Jacko have got off if he had a "public" defender? Doubtful. Also to make things worse - this is a spit in African Americans face because Jacko has been trying to make himself "white" for years. Jim Wallis, Sojouners etc. where are you to weigh in on justice here?
Just a little thought provoking entry about gulp - hell

Hitler in heaven?
Let’s consider Hitler—the poster boy for intrinsic evil. Most of us would put him on the “out” list. If there is a really toasty corner of hell, then he would be there for eternity. Now, we need to ask: Do we consign him to hell because he failed the test of belief, or because he murdered 6 million Jews? If it’s purely a test of right belief, then we must consider that, on the day Hitler blew his brains out, he was greeted at the gates of hell by the 6 million men, women and children that he murdered. After all, they also would have failed the belief test.
Worse yet: If Hitler, in his last hour, believed rightly, confessed sincerely, repented wholeheartedly, etc., then he would have flown to the ecstasy of heaven forever, while his victims languished in hell for eternity. Quite a problem, eh?
We have opened up new place here in Vicksburg called the Living Room - as kind of a place for people to come to hang out and build relationships and get to know others. I am really excited about it - we are getting quite a few responses and it appears to be filling a real niche in the community - a place for the community that the community can use and enjoy with no strings attached.
I finished this semester out with A's - It makes me feel so good to do good in school. I know that sometimes I stress out too much about about my grades - a great deal more than I did when I was in college - but graduate school is just different.
Well not much for not blogging for a long time - but I am going to try to do it more.
I have a question that has been running around my head - how safe is it to really love someone?
